Week 6 Blog Post
The song that I chose to listen to this week was, Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles. What I first noticed about this song was the beginning of this song was trending on Tik Tok recently, which I didn't even know when I chose this song. It just goes to show that these great songs really do live on forever, especially when it's by The Beatles haha. I honestly really liked this song, it sounds really similar to the songs that I listen to now, like the alternative kind of vibe. Another thing that I really liked about this song was the instrumentals in it. I like how it's not the usual instruments that are in rock bands, the instrument that stood out to me the most was the violin, I think that's what it was. I love the different parts it would play. I also loved the vocals in the song, it went with the music so amazing. I also loved when they would have the backup vocals, I liked the variation it added. Overall I loved this song, and it was super fun to listen to.
I find it crazy when older songs will jump to the top charts for a short period of time or re emerge through social media after so many years of not being noticed all that much. There really are songs that are ahead of their time when they are released so no one notices it all that much, but then someone listens to it and recommends it to a friend and it blows up from there.
