Week 3 Blog Post

 My Blue Heaven

The song that I chose to listen to was, My Blue Heaven by Gene Austin. I really liked the vibe that I got from this song. It was very peaceful, and I loved the nature sounds in the background. The sound in the back sounded like rain, and occasionally they would have a bird whistling in it. I feel like this song could almost be a lullaby because of how peaceful and calming it sounds. Gene Austin's voice in this song sounds so relaxed, it goes perfect with the music. It's almost as if the music is playing to his voice, instead of him singing to the music. He definitely sounds like he is crooning with this song. The way his voice goes up and down in the song goes perfect with the music. I'm not sure who the target audience is for this song, but it does sound like it would be a love song I think. I do know that if I'm tired this is the perfect song to play to help me go to sleep. Overall, I thought this was a great song to listen to, and Gene Austin does a great job in this piece.
